This little cottage quietly resting beside Hayden Brook at 26 Olive is a personal residence, but during late October through early May there is a tiny studio space that is made available here. It is a small private room with good natural light, suitable for painters, musicians, writers, jugglers and the like... all artists & creatives welcomed. In addition to the use of the room, guests may enjoy the shared spaces of a sitting room, kitchen, screened porch & sunny deck.
Occasionally, by invitation or appointment, there are tea tastings, select classes & workshops, or artist events offered here at what used to be known as the Sugar Tree Cottage.
It is also one of the warming spaces during xcountry ski days.
Pending repair in 2024, the cottage is normally accessed on foot by it's own private bridge (please inquire about wheelchair access, available upon request) at the far end of the Lakewood Theater parking lot.
